Seamless loop maker.

Make game music that loops with no click and no missing reverb. Add a WAV of your loop with its reverb tail, and the tool folds the tail back onto the start and gives you a WAV that loops perfectly. It runs in your browser, so your audio never leaves your computer.

Add your loop.

Export the loop from your DAW plus a few extra seconds, so the reverb can ring out. Don't cut it at the loop end.

Set the tempo and bars.

Use the same tempo and number of bars as your project. The tool works out where the loop ends, to the exact sample.

More options

Listen, then download.

Playback starts 3 seconds before the loop point, so you hear the seam straight away. Drag the playhead to listen from anywhere, and compare with a plain cut.

how it works

Why game music loops click.

A plain cut loses the tail

Cutting an export at the loop end chops off the reverb and the last notes' releases. The start of the loop is also missing the tail it would have picked up from the pass before. You hear a click or a drop in the reverb every time the music wraps.

Fold the tail back on

The tool takes everything that rings past the loop end and adds it onto the start. The result is the same as the middle of a long render that played the loop over and over, cut to exactly one loop.

Ready for your engine

The WAV is exactly one loop long and has loop points written in, so any player that loops the whole file plays it seamlessly. Nothing is uploaded: the file is read and made in your browser.

game engines

Using the loop in your game.

Keep loops as WAV or OGG Vorbis. MP3 adds padding at the start and end of the file, which makes a gap at the loop point however carefully it was made.

Godot

Import the WAV and set the import's Loop Mode to Detect From WAV (the default), which reads the loop points the tool writes. Forward also works, because the whole file is the loop.

Unity

Turn on Loop on the Audio Source. Avoid MP3 compression for loops, because MP3 adds silence at the edges.

GameMaker and others

Play the sound with looping on. The file is exactly one loop, so no loop points need setting.

RPG Maker and OGG players

Convert the WAV to OGG Vorbis and add the LOOPSTART and LOOPLENGTH tags shown under Export options.

faq

Common questions.

Is my audio uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is read and processed in your browser, and the download is made there too.

Which files work?

WAV files at any sample rate, in 16, 24 or 32-bit PCM or 32-bit float, mono, stereo or more channels. The export keeps the sample rate and channels of your file.

How long should the tail be?

As long as your reverb and delays take to fade out. Two to five seconds after the loop end covers most music. Extra silence does no harm.

Why did the level go up?

The tail is added on top of the start of the loop, so the start can get louder. If it would clip, the tool lowers the whole loop just enough to fit. You can turn that off under Export options, for example if you export 32-bit float.

What if my track has an intro?

Export the intro and the loop as two files, play the intro once and then the loop. Make the loop with this tool from a render of the loop section with its tail.

What if the seam check finds a jump?

The loop length usually doesn't match the music. Check the tempo and bars against your project, or enter the exact length in samples under More options.
